Forever Majestic
- Year:2021
- Client:Prairie Nation Creative, LLC
- Project:Documentary Timeline Animation
In the documentary, there are sections where there was a large amount of information that was presented in a short amount of time. Therefore, it was difficult for any casual audience member to process all of the facts and follow along with the order of events. The director of the film came to me to solve this problem, requesting a visual timeline to accompany the large amount of information.
For the layout, I wanted to make a visual timeline that is easy to follow, so I created a blue and brown contrasting color palette. This acts as a natural separation between each piece of information in the timeline, making events stand out from each other. Stylistically, I decided to make the timeline visually appear as if it were an older brochure left behind on a decaying table, matching the subject matter of the abandoned building documentary. As an addition to the timeline motion graphic, the director requested for me to make an end Credits Animation as well. In order for the movie to be more cohesive, I opted to make the end credits in a similar stylistic format to the timeline animation.
Forever Majestic was accepted into the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, the Oklahoma City Documentary Film Festival, the Lake Travis Film Festival, and the Made In Arkansas Film Festival where it won the Best of Fest Award. The documentary has been picked up by film distributor Gravitas Ventures who started distributing the film via streaming and physical release on June 21, 2022.
